The Psychedelic Coach Podcast

Mar 31, 2023

In this episode of the Psychedelic Coach podcast, Tah Whitty introduces the concept of the Oppression Trap Triangle at The Condor Approach Live In Salt Lake City, Utah, an adaptation of the age-old Drama Triangle. The Drama Triangle comprises the three core human archetypes of the victim, villain, and victor, which are the foundation of human drama and the traps that people get caught up in.

Tah introduces the concept of the Oppression Umbrella, which refers to opposing pressure, without the judgment of good or bad. He explains that there are three types of oppression: suppression, repression, and depression, and that it's important to remove any judgment from these types of oppression to understand them more objectively.

Moving on to describe the Oppression Trap Triangle, Tah explains the victim is the one who experiences the pressure or is held down, the villain is the one who applies pressure or holds someone down, and the victor is the one who tries to rescue the victim.

Tah stresses that it's important to understand the dynamics of the Oppression Trap Triangle and recognize when we are playing one of these roles. He explains that it's easy to get trapped in this triangle, and that it's important to be aware of these patterns and work to break free from them.

Tah concludes the episode by encouraging listeners to remove any judgment from their understanding of oppression and to look at it objectively. He emphasizes the importance of understanding these patterns and working to break free from them to live more fulfilling lives.
